Light and darkness.

This picture is taken using natural light, but inside the classroom. It has been edited to remove lighter walls in the background to make the paper stand more out. The paper in the back is not real paper, but a reflection in my computer screen from the paper in the front.

The light in this one is also natural, and it was taken in the window. The light coming in from the outside is making the paper dark on the side facing us. The more I look at this the less I like it... It's way too heavy at the bottom. I'm posting it to show you what happens when It's put in such a light.

I think this is my favourite. It simple, balanced, and not too harsh on the light nor the shadows. I also like how the paper is perfectly clean while the background is kind of rough. It might remind someone of a hospital as it looks very ''sterile''. This could be something I'd consider hanging on my wall.

I'm not quite sure if I like this one. It's taken on the floor and with the light coming from the ceiling. The uneaven and dark floor makes the shadow go soft in the edges and in this case I would like the shadow to be just as sharp as the edges on the paper is. I have edited this in Picasa making it black and white,

This one is taken from above, having a light close to the other side of the paper, forcing the light to follow the open gaps. I wish the sides were even as they look a bit asymmetric, but I like the starlike light thats forming through the paper. I edited this using Picasa to warm up the colors as I thought it could resemble a sun I didn't want it to look like it was warm.

Put them up in the window placing a list behind to cover halv of the paper. This created some dramatic shadows, really complimenting the shape and angles of the folds. The shadows and light have been amplifyed to make the contrasts stand more out.

The first assignment

Last Thursday we were told by our teacher to take some photos of different structures and textures inside and outside of the school we go to.

Welcome!

This is a photoblog where I will put up photos I have taken/edited myself. I will also be handing in my school assignments here, in the subject called Trykk og Foto.  Enjoy!
